Brenda - patient care specialist

Brenda is the first contact most people will have with Chelsea Grace Clinic. She schedules appointments, handles questions and concerns over the phone, and is always present at our Saturday morning clinics.

Brenda was born in South Lyon and moved to Chelsea in 1987. Brenda has been working in the field of medicine since 1974. Prior to that, she worked at Chrysler with her mom who was a foreman. Brenda says she felt a strong need to help others, and had even considered being a missionary. She worked at Chelsea Community Hospital for 16 years in the Cardio Pulmonary department and has been with the U of M since 1998. The most fulfilling part of her job is making a positive difference in people’s lives. She appreciates the respect given to her by the community, and the many heartfelt “thank you’s” she receives for all her hard work.

Brenda has been working with the clinic for 6 ½ years. She says “I didn’t really have any idea that there were so many people in our surrounding towns without insurance”. Because Brenda has been working in the Chelsea Community for over 30 years, she has a lot of resources to find help for those in need.

When she’s not busy working at the U of M or helping out the patients of Chelsea Grace Clinic, you will find Brenda pursuing her life’s passion – fly fishing! She heads up north to the rivers and Lake Michigan as often as she can get away. Brenda’s other hobbies include quilting and gardening.
